Discovering Neil

I must have been 14 years old when I "discovered" Neil Diamond.
On a hot summer day when we all get out on the street and my father was playing records loud enough to hear it on the street, my neighbour wanted to hear something else but Louis Armstrong, my fathers idol. He came back with the LP Serenade and asked to play some real music
He didn't lie, from the first moment I heared Neil's voice and music, I realised that was the music I loved. The next day I ran to the recordshop to get the record, but as it turned out the record was selled out and I came back with Jonathan Livingstone Seagull instead.First I didn't liked it probably because I was to young at the moment, but now its became one of my favorites.
Since then and till now all of Neil's music is with me all the time, and it will be forever.
For the first time he comes to Belgium, can't hardly wait to see him life. 3 more weeks to go ...
