I have posted comments on this site, first about Mr. Diamond's visit to our community of Oak Island and more specifically to his incognito visit to our little church. He indicated he would help the little community hit so hard by Hurricane Ike, but then it looked like the large Houston-based fund might gobble up the money meant for the citizens who are living in tents or cars because their homes were swept away by the 12 ft. storm surge. BUT - our pastor reported today that help IS coming to OI from Mr. Diamond and we in OI are VERY thrilled! It was wonderful to have seen him in person and met him, esp. after having seen him in concert the night before in Houston, but to know this wonderful man is giving away potentially MILLIONS of dollars to help this community s breath-taking! Thanks, Mr. Diamond and forgive any doubt we had in you! And, those attending his upcoming concerts - DO give, it IS going to help rebuild an entire broken community! Flag as offensive
