It hit home after about 4 listens....

I love this song. It's so true. We all gotta slow down, not be so competitive. We don't have to strive to achieve everything that others have or prove ourselves to be better. Be thankful for what we've got - health, love, enough to keep a roof over our heads and or faith. Not necessarilly each of the above but at least one & that's something to be greatful for. The more we have - the more we have to lose and I'd personally rather have a little of something than absolutely nothing at all. Money/fame & fortune can disappear over night but the love of family, friends will keep your memory alive for ever. (Might not put bread on the table - but it will follow....that's when you know who your friends are, what true love is and learn that aboslutely nothing is permanent - except faith/hope & trust)& isn't that what we teach our babies - when they fall - we kiss it better & they trust us. Then we mess them up by telling them they gotta be bigger & better to survive in this world & the cycle starts again.........Lay off... they will make their mark in this world - with or without you! Orphans do! The next generation will achieve and still make all the same mistakes every generation before them made - it's human nature. After all - we will all be dead a lot longer than alive - so relax and just live each day as it comes because when we die only our good deeds are what's important. You can't take anything with you and you can't be there to see how things are done when you've gone! Live for today & do good.. Kettle's on xxx
