Sadly, it came out at a time when mainstream radio was ignoring Neil. "Best Years of Our Lives" would have been a top 10 single had it been releases in the 70's. So would have been "This Time."

I really love listening this album specially the song,'Carmelta's Eyes', just wonderful. I brought this cassette long time back, but unfourtunately, the cassette is not working well, and i really tried to get a cd, but unfourtunately in India, Sony Music hasn't relised out the cd version of this album, so now i cant listen.

One of my favorite albums by Neil. Should have done better on the Charts. Great Songs. Midnight Dream & This Time are the best! Neil wrote every song except Baby Can I Hold You. True Diamond fans should have it.

This album is by far one of Neil's best in my opinion. THIS TIME is so beautiful and I also love Neil's take on Tracy Chapman's BABY CAN I HOLD YOU. There is nothing wrong with this album. EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE FINE rocks and should be brought back to his concert setlist. It's a classic to me like Cherry Cherry is to so many who bought that record.

The more time I spend listening to Neil's catalogue, the more I hear the strings and horns, and follow the actual music more closely. It is clearly evident that David Foster was involved in this recording. Every piece of music that Foster has touched sounds the same to me, but Neil's baritone voice puts a different spin on it and gives it a very different sound. Way to go Neil!

This album represents one of the low points of the ND canon. Might as well have slapped a "contractual obligation" label on the front. Title track is okay, but unrelenting tedium soon takes hold and refuses to let go.

Neil's song writing is in fine form on this cd. It's a lush beautifully arranged mostly acoustic album brilliantly produced by David Foster. The title track is a joyous driving rock anthem which I remember playing over and over when I was younger. This album became a soundtrack to my life as a young man and I still go back to it and it sounds as fresh now as it did that first day I put it in my cd player.
