PRIMITIVE . UMA DELÍCADEZA DE ÁLBUM!

Tenho verdadeira admiração por esse álbum, PRIMITIVE, um dos meus álbuns prediletos . Um álbum com ótima qualidade sonora , de letras e melodias delicadas e sensíveis. Em SLEEP WITH ME TONIGHT que é a minha canção preferida desse álbum , ela que é entremeada por apaixonadíssimos e maravilhosos solos de guitarra. Mas também há outras maravilhosas canções como: TURN AROUND; PRIMITIVE(que tem uma batida mágica); YOU MAKE IT FEEL LIKE CHRISTIMAS (essa,hiper carinhosa e aconchegante); ONE BY ONE;E MY TIME WITH YOU (essa,delicadíssima).Em suma é um ábum delicioso ,surgido numa época mágica ,em 1984. Neil foi muito feliz quando fez duas maravilhosas parcerias , uma com Burt Bacharach e a outra com a refinadíssima Carole Bayer Sager , duas pessoas ímpares. Resumindo ,todo o álbum é muito bom e eu o aprecio muito. NEIL DIAMOND IS THE DIAMOND VOICE.

I truly like the title track, and "Fire on the Tracks" was better live. The rest of this is simply forced. "One by One" is almost a simple tune that seems to make you feel good when you sing along. Neil takes on "Cherry Cherry"" in "Loves own Song" and gets thrown for a big loss.
Album would of been better had SONY left the original tracks in.

Could never realy understand why the critics had a problem with this one! Great tracks. I'll never forget hearing the lead song live at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland before the release date of the album. It was amazing!

I couldn't understand why the record company and the critics had a problem with this album. Many of the songs have a great beat and made you want to sing along. I especially like the title track as well as Fire on the Tracks, Love's Own Song, and One by One. Actually I love them all except for Crazy and Sleep With Me Tonight which I like, just don't love. What do the critics know anyway!

I bought this one on cassette in January 1985! The first Neil album I bought for myself. Still know all the words, too!! My favorite track is "Sleep with me tonight"

i bought this on in england shortly after the london engagement even though i didn't know about earls court at the time. there are different styles of arrangement included here as it was very much a work in progress. the special "bilder aus america" showed "sleep with me" played with the regular band and an interview. I love the guitar riff in this song. on the other side, "primitive" rocks. "brooklyn" has the taste of west side story.
maybe some time the record company an neil both have the nerve to release the leftover songs as part of another box set.
