Stunningly stiff after "The Jazz Singer."

Sorry but I hate this album. Other than the title song, the rest of it sounds like he whipped it up over a boring weekend. Though, two of the songs sound MUCH better live. "Guitar Heaven" and "Rainy Day Song." "Fear of the Marketplace" could of been a great one had he not tried to be Sinatra there.

THE MAGNUM OPUS OF NEIL DIAMOND'S COLLECTION. ALL OF THE SONGS COMPLETE THE ALBUM PERFECTLY AND I NEVER WANTED TO PUT THIS ALBUM DOWN AS THE SINGABILITY AND FEELING IT GIVES YOU ARE BREATH TAKING. OF ALL OF HIS ALBUMS, THIS DESERVED THE #1 SPOT ON BILLBOARD. HE TRULY DID GET IT "RIGHT BY YOU" FOR ALL OF HIS FANS ON THIS ALBUM.

this one was the first record i would like to have as a birthday present - at the age of 13. so it will allways be something special. i loved "rainy day song" then, today "the drifter" with its up and downs.
a good and solid one.
