Last nights concert at the O2 was simply awesome! Surely Neil Diamond can rightly claim (if he wanted to) to be the biggest & greatest solo artist around. He had the place rocking from start to finish particularly with the old favourites .... Sweet Caroline was amazing ... 15,000 people standing, arms waving, singing with Neil for what seemed like 10 minutes. What was special for me, a lifelong Neil fan (and at 52 that's quite a long time :-), was that the set included some of the old, not so familiar songs such as the wonderful Brooklyn Roads and the beautiful Play Me. The start was pure magic with the band already on stage & the arena pitch black Neil appeared at the back of the sloping stage, opened with a guitar chord & suddenly was brilliantly illuminated from the back in the "Diamond pose". Congratulations Neil ... as I said simply awesome! PS if anyone has a copy of the set Neil & his superb band played could they post it on here? Thanks.
