Could have been so good

Unfortunately the sound quality in the stands was awful - we first heard Neil's super voice which was immediately followed by equally loud echoes and the whole sound experience was jumbled. Sometimes we couldn't even tell what the song was and the sound from the supporting band was poor. A great disappointment and not the fault of the performers.

I last saw ND in Birmingham UK about 30 years ago. The Dublin concert shows he has mellowed with age like a good wine. He was brilliant. Two hours of solid music, no support and the ability with his vast repertoire to delight everyone even if not great ND fans. I would love to see him perform in a more intimate setting and would travel a great distance to do so. Croke Park is not a great venue and you feel really distant from the peformer. But that did not stop the magic of the performance. Excellent!!
